At the Borough Council meeting last week a letter complaining about the noise of the geothermal bores at Wairakei was received from Mr F. R. Furminger. The council decided to refer the writer to the project engineer (Mr Fooks) or the county commissioner (Mr. O'Keefe) as the appropriate quarters in which to voice his complaint. (Note: A letter on the subject appears in our corresponuence columns elsewhere. — Ed. )
