Coimtcy Planning Appeal Board, against various Council decisions on objections to the Council's Town Plah Scheme; Mr A. L. Gabites, Town Planning con-l sultant, was present. The objection lodged by Ihe Ministry of AVcfks, the purport of which was to have a road reserve strip 33 feet. in widt.li provided along the lake side of State Highway No. 23 (Lake Terrace Road) extending from the old Napier Road to Taharepa Road, was discussed. It was decided to introduce, after consultation with the National Roads Board, a modification of the Town Planning Scheme to provide for widening the highway, and having regard to this future modification it was decided to disallow the Minist.ry's objection dated April 23, 1954. t ,
