Notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Taupo Borough Council held on Thursday, 23rd day of December, 1954, the following resolution was passed viz: — That the Taupo Borough Council pursuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926 and Amendments and in pursuance of the sanction of the Local Government Loans Board granted on the 15th day of .iDecember, 1954, and in pursuance. of all other Acts, Powers and Authorities enabling it in that-behalf, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order as follcrws: 1. — That a loan of Five Thousand five hundred pounds to be raised in New Zealand by the- Taupo Borough Council for the purpose of erecting two Staff houses. 2.— That the rate of interest on the said loan or any part thereof shall be at the rate of Four Pounds (£4) per centum per annum. 3. — That the term of the loan or any part thereof shall be twenty (20) years. 4. — That the security for Interest and Principal and repayment of the said Loan shall be a- special j rate of three eighths of a penny (fd) in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved . value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Taupo. And . public notice is hereby given • that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken on the proposal to raise the loan herin before referred to in accordance with section 3 • of the Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act 1951 if five (5 %) per cent of the ratepayers of the Borough so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Town Clerk, Borough Council Office, Wharf Road, Taupo, before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution to raise the said loan. And notice is hereby given that the resolution is- to be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the Taupo Borough Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Wharf Road, Taupo, on the 19th daysof January 1955.
