HYDRO POWER SCHEME
ELECTRICITY ACCOUNT FIGURES TO NOVEMBER 30 A report presented to the Borough Council by the Town Clerk, Mr S. Torepe, shows that the Council's Electricity Account had a credit balance of £6802 as at November 30. With two more met~ er readings to come before the end of the financial year, the sale of current, which was £12158 for the first eight months thereof, will be considerably in excess of the amount of £12900 which was estimated for the year's saies. The Electrical Inspector's report submitted by Mr J. M. Sherwood mentioned that the total number of consumers was 994, 25 new connections having been made during the month. Connections in the year have totalled over 500.
