QUEEN CARNIVAL FUND
SPORTS QUEEN NOW AHEAD With £345 paid in to the Queen Carnival Fund by the various Committees for the week to Friday, November 5, the total has jumped to £1161/11/7. The list now stands as follows: —
The Sports Queen now leads with a total of £500. The Citizens' Queen is in second place with £335, and the Maori Queen is third £326/11/7. Not included in the above figures is a donation of £30 received on Monday last, from Messrs Campbell & Ehrenfried Ltd., Auckland, on behalf of the Lake Hotel, Taupo. The donors have requested Col. J. D. Swan, chairman on the Central Carnival Committee, to divide this amount equally between the three Queen Candidates. — - - - .
