MR H. A. PRATER

The death occurred at Taupo, on Friday morning last of Mr Horace Albert Prater, for many years a well-known figure in Napier business circles. He was aged 53 years. Until his resignation last August, because of indifferent health, Mr Prater had been manager of the Stephenson Trading Co. Ltd., Napier, for upwards of five years, and before that was the firm's country representative for about 25 years. He was born in Napier. Since his retirement Mr Prater had been residing in Taupo, where he had business interests. He was associated with Mr R. Casson, in the projected block of four concrete shops now in course of erection in Tongariro Street. He is survived by his wife, his son Barry, of Taupo, and his daughter, Miss Judith Prater, of Napier. The funeral took place at the Wharerangi Lawn Cemetery, Napier, following a service at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Napier, on Monday afternoon, October 11.
