DRAMATIC SOCIETY'S NEXT PLAY

"THE LATE CHRISTOPHER BEAN" The Taupo Dramatic Society's next play, their first production for the coming season, is to be "The Late Christopher Bean," Emlyn Williams' three act comedy. It is being produced by Mr J. W. Birnie, assisted by Mrs Evison, a week-end Guest Producer under the N.Z. Drama Council's "B" Scheme, and will be presented in Rickit's Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 2 and 3. v. The Committee has decided to discontinue play-reading evenings during the summer, as previously. They will be resumed some time in March next. Membership fees for the new season are now payable. The Committee has granted a request by Mr Charles Leslie for the use of the Society's scenery, for a play to be presented in the War Memorial Hall in aid of the Citizen's Queen candidate.
