BENEFIT DANCE HELD

A successful benefit social and dance was held in Rickit's Hall on Saturday evening, September 11, organised in aid of the widow of the late Mr "Punch" Hurae by the local staff of Messrs N. Cole Ltd., with the help of Mrs Mika's orchestra. Later the Mayor, Mr J. E. Story, with Mr W. Purser, called on Mrs Hurae and presented her with the sum of £37 raised by the benefit
