I WISH to advise that I am commencing Practice as a Public Accountant in offices situated in A.N.Z. Bank Building, Heuheu St., Taupo. F. D. STRETTON, A.P.A.N.Z. TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDER — HYDRO-ELEC-TRIC POWER SUPPLY LOAN 1954, £48,000. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Taupo Borough Council held on Wednesday, 18th August, 1954, the following Resolution was passed viz: THAT the Taupo Borough Council pursuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926 and Amendments and in pursuance of ! the sanction of the Local Govern- j ment Loans Board granted on the 5th day of August, 1954 and in pursuance and in exercise of all other Acts, Powers and Authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order as follows: 1. That a further Hydro-electric power supply loan of Forty eight thousand pounds (£48,000) , to be raised in New Zealand by the Taupo Borough Council for the purpose of completing the supply of electricity in the Borough of Taupo and extending beyond the Borough boundary. 2. That the rate of interest on the said loan or any part thereof shall be at the rate of Four Pounds (£4) per centum per annum. 3. That the term of the said loan or any part thereof shall be twenty (20) years. 4. That the security for Interest and Principal and repayment of the said loan shall be a special rate of One Penny and thirteen sixteenths of a penny (1 13-16d) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Taupo. AND public noticei is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken on the proposal to raise the loan^ herein before referred to in accordance with section 3 of the Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act 1951 if five per cent of the ratepayers of the borough so demand by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the Town Clerk, Borough Council Office, Wharf Road, Taupo, before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution to raise the special loan. And notice is hereby given that the resolution is to be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the Taupo Borough Council to be held in the Borough Chambers, Wharf Road, Taupo on the 15th day of September 1954.
