"A WOMAN'S PLACE"

THREE NEW PLAYERS IN LIVELY COMEDY Three new players will make their first appearance in a public production in Taupo when the Taupo Dramatic Society's coming comedy "A Woman's Place," is presented in Rickit's Hall on August 24 and 25. They are Doris McBeth, Audrey Patchett and George Barlow. Sally Kent and Charles Leslie will appear in straight parts, contrasting with the roles in which they are were last seen, those of Louisa Creed ("Ladies In Retirement"), j and Rainbow (the school porter, "The Happiest Days of Your Life"), respectively. The remaining player, Beryl Kennedy has not been seen since she played as a charwoman in "The Old Lady Shows Her Medals." Rehearsals indicate that the production, the Society's seventh, should be one of its best, and early booking is advised. Box office plans open on Monday next, August 16, as advertised elsewhere in this issue. '
