Stanley, outlined work being done by the Branch in connection with the election campaign. The most important task at the | moment was to ensure that voters were on the electoral roll. The Executive was busy enrolling people not already on, and had found ! that on the average one in three ' people in Taupo were not enrolled. Every effort would be made to ensure that all those eligible were enrolled. Mr Stanley reported on the Campaign and L.R.C. Meetings held at Mangakino on June 12 and 13, and commented on the enthusiasm shown when the Party's candidate, Mr Ray Boord, was introduced to people at the Dance and Social on the evening of Saturday, June 12. Mr C. R. Banks was elected to the Branch Executive in place of Mr H. Strange, who has terminated his membership of the Branch. Messrs. W. Harding and W. Henderson were elected as proxy dele- j gates to the Labour Representa- j tion Committee.

Secretary's Report The Secretary, Mr J. L. Burge, reported that nearly £60 had been forwarded to the Rotorua L.R.C. j campaign fund, out of a target ; total of £150. A further donation s would be made shortly. Delegates j from Taupo Branch were attending all L.R.C. and Campaign Committee meetings, and the Branch was in close contact with the smaller settlements such as Maroa, Mokai, etc. Mr Burge stated that the ExeI cutive had been responsible for placing over one hundred electors on the roll and no doubt there would be many more. A total of twenty members, mainly Geothermal Project workers, have moved to other districts, but have been replaced by new members, mainly local people other than Geothermal workers and the Branch membership continues to grow. Refreshments were served by lady members, the meeting closing at nine fifteen p.m. •
