MAIN ST. BURGLARIES

Five shops in Tongariro Street were burgled on Monday night last, sums of from £2 to £5 being stolen. The shops entered were those of I. McDonald Ltd., M. Tierney, J. A. Fenton Ltd., Alan McLean Ltd., and G. S. Anchor and Co. In the first three cases, entry was gained from the back, and in the last two the street doors were forced open. " Clothing and radio sets were stolen from McLean's and Anchor's it being the third time within a year that the former shop has been burgled.
