Taupo Man In Korea. The N.Z. Army Information service reports the building of a chapel by two K-Force men at the 16th Field Regiment's camp. In charge was Sergeant K. Paraone, of Bay of Islands, and with him Gunner Leonard ("Licki") Blake, of Taupo, son of Mr and Mrs Ted Blake, of Waitahanui. The chapel stands prominently on top of the camp's "Flagstaff Hill," an ingenious modffiication of a normal quonset hut, with a 21-foot steeple topped with a large cross. Near-by on the hillside is a huge kiwi marked out in white and black stones. * ❖ ❖ South Taupo Anglers. The annual meeting of the Lake Taupo and District Anglers' Association was held in the Association's club house at Turangi on Saturday, May 15, when there was a good attendance of members from Wellington, Taihape, Wanganui, Taumarunui and Te Kuiti. The retiring president, Mr H. Digby Smith presented the annual report and balance sheet. The election of officers resulted as follows:— President, Mr H. H. Little ; vice presidents, Messrs. J. Stephens and A. J. Ross;, Committee, Messrs. Coker, Horton, Laird, McKay, Riches and Stebbings; secretary, Mr P. S. White; treasurer, Mr H. Digby Smith; auditor, Mr F. House. \
