MAJESTIC THEATBE

"The Romantic Story of Gilbert and Sullivan" is being shown at the Majestic Theatre on Saturday. It brings to the screen some of the best of the rich meloaies of Sullivan and the delightful ditties of Gilbert. The stars include Robert Morley, Maurice Evans, and Eileen Herlie, whilst Lloyd Lamble who has visited New Zealand with G. and S. companies is also in the cast.

The bull ring is the setting of a spectacular and exciting tale "Bullfighter and the Lady" which is to be seen on Monday. There is no picture on Tuesday. A long awaited occasion will be the exhibition of the Rank film of the Queen's visit entitled "Royal New Zealand Journey" together with "Royal Symphony" which is being shown at matinee and evening performances on Wednesday. This film broke box office records at each of the four main centres.

On Friday next, "The Redhead of Wyoming" which is a top-class Western, stars that evergreen personality amongst redheads, MaurI een O'Hara. She has never been so dashing as she is in this film, and her co-star Alex Nicol gives promise of being a definite threat to other popular Western stars. The week-end picture on the Saturday and Monday of next weekend is that great saga written by Nichola Montserrat, "The Cruel Sea."
