NOTES ON PLAY On Thursday, April 27, the ladies played a Stableford Bogey match, when two good scores were returned, Mrs Young 33 points, and Mrs Mclsaac 32. Mrs Young's medal score reduced her handicap to 20. Next best scores were those of Mrs Watson 26, Miss Branson 25, Mrs Irving 25, Miss McKelvie 24, Mrs Vedder 24. The mixed Foursome Novelty match played on Saturday, May 1, attracted a good field, despite the faact that many men players were otherwise engaged, seeking the elusive ducks. The best scores were Mrs Mclsaac and D. Woodward 96 -25-71; Mrs Hullten and D. Neame 83-11-72; Mrs Watson and J. Woodward 97-25-72.

Tomorrow, Saturday May 8, the men will play a Senior and Junior Fourball Bogey. D. Woodward, who has been playing good golf and reducing his handicap during the last few months, took part in the Napier Open Championships recently, and he and his partner succeeded in winning a bogey match with the good score of 7 up.
