BASKETBALL MATCHES
The following basketball games were played on Saturday, May 1:— High School B defeated Huka 6—3; Wanderers defeated Primary School A 11—6; High School A defeated I Mokai 14 — 6. I The Huka v. High School game was marred on both sides by inaccurate shooting. L. Denize for Huka was much improved in this game, and should prove a formidable opponent in later games. The most outstanding player of the day was J. Pitiroi, for High School. The Wanderers v. Primary game was f ast, but with plenty of room for improvement. Again, inaccurate shooting ruined chances. Primary should prove a strong team with more experience. They played a very good game. In the Mokai v. High School game the teams were very evenly matched and the score was no real indication of the rela- 1 tive merits ofj the two teams. The draw for tomorrow, Saturday May 8, is Wanderers v. Mokai, 2 p.m.; Huka v. Primary, 2.45 p.m.; High School a bye.
