TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Taupo Borough Council, held on Wednesday, April 14th, 1954, the following resolution was passed viz: That the Taupo Borough Council pursuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies Act 1936, and Amendments and in pursuanee of the sanction of the Local Government Loans Board granted on the 30th day of March, 1954, and in pursuanee and in exerclse of all other Acts, Powers and Authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth herby resolve by way of Special Order, as follows: 1. That a special loan of Five thousand pounds (£5000) to be known as the Taupo War Memorial Hall Loan 1954, to be raised in New Zealand by the Taupo Borough Council for the purpose of completing the • War Memorial Hall. 2. That the rate of interest on the said special loan or any part thereof shall be at the rate of Four Pounds (£4) per centum per annum. 3. That the term of the said special loan or any part thereof shall be twenty years (20). 4. That the security for Interest and Principal and repayment of the said special loan shall be a special rate of one farthing of a penny (IJd) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Taupo. And notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken on the proposal to raise the loan hereln before referred to in accordance with Section 3 of the Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act 1951, if five percent of the ratepayers of the borough so demand by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the Town Clerk, Borough Council Office, Wharf Road, Taupo, before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution to raise the special loan. And notice is hereby given that 1 the resolution is to be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Taupo Borough Council, to be held in the Borough Chambers, Wharf Road, Taupo on the 19th May, 1954.
