Other members: The Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of the University of New Zealand; The Chairman of the Academic Board; A Professor of the technical faculty of the University of New Zealand; Sir Arthur Nevill, K.B.E., C.B., M.Sc.; Mr J. B. Price, General Man7 7 m ager of The Shell Company of New Zealand Limited. These scholarships, valued at £750 per year, are tenable for two years at various British Universities. Candidates are selected not only because their academic records justify their being given wider opportunities, but also because it is felt that men of their calibre will almost certainly come to have an influence in fields outside those of their chosen professions. In niaking these scholarships available Shell recognises that industry in general, and the oil industry in particular, has an important part to play In helping men of exceptional ability and charcter to broaden their outlook and experience regardless of nationality.
