Her Majesty the Queen, and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, will leave Tirau on Friday, January 1, at 3.45 p.m., entering Rotorua via Lake Road at 4.50 p.m. and arriving at Moose Lodge at 5.20 p.m. On Saturday, January 2, the Queen and the Duke will arrive at Motutara Golf Course for the Civic Reception at 12 noon. Leaving there at 12.15 p.m. the route will be via the High School Grounds, where some six to seven thousand children from the TaupoBay of Plenty area will be assembled, to the Grand Hotel. At 2.35 p.m. the Royal visitors will leave via Fenton Street for the Maori reception at Arawa Park. On Sunday they will attend Divine Service at St. John's Church, Rotorua, leaving at 12.10 p.m. for Moose Lodge via Pukuatua and Fenton Streets and the Whakatane Road.
