A Ngarimu V.C. 29th Battalioa: Memorial Scholarship has been won by Dennis Paul, son of the well-known war veteran, Mr Tai Paul, of Rotorua. The scholarship is available to one Maori boy and one Maori girl pupil in schools throughout the Dominion, not necessarily Maori schools. Following examinations the six highest boy and girl candidates are personally interviewed. They must be good all-rounders and possess qualities of leadership. Dennis Paul is 12 and plans after attending Te Aute College to become a veterinary surgeon.
