WOMEN'S BOWLING CLUB

PLAY FOR TROPHIES The Taupo Women's Bowling Club's singles competition for the Crickett and Fulljames Trophies took place on December 15 and 16. Peacocke being the winner and Mrs Play was in three rounds, Mrs H. S. Pearse the runner-up, the former trophy going to Mrs Peacocke and the latter to Mrs Pearce. Games were as follows, the winner's name being given first in each case. First round: Mrs R. McMillan v. Mrs Harlan; Mrs H. Peacocke v. Mrs East (by default) ; Mrs S. Pearce v. Mrs Calkin (by default) Mrs W. G. Morris v. Mrs B. M. Harnett; Mrs B. M. Armstrong v. Mrs F. B. Gradwell; Mrs Lough v. Mrs W. Anderson; Mrs F. Fletcher v. Mrs E Grey. Second round: Mrs Peacocke v. Mrs R. McMillan; Mrs Harlan v Mrs East (by default) ; Mrs S. Pearce v. Mrs W. G. Morris; Mrs B. M. Armstrong v. Mrs Calkin (by default) ; Mrs W. Anderson v. Mrs F. B. Gradwell; Mrs B. M. Harnett v. Pearce defeated Mrs Lough, Mrs Peacocke having a bye, the final between Mrs Peacocke and Mrs Pearce resulting in a win for the former.
