WOMEN'S INSTITUTE SPRING SHOW

The Taupo Women's Institute Spring Show, held in Rickit's Hall on Saturday, November 28th, produced good entries in most classes, amongst them * many beautiful blooms. As in the case of pre.vious flower shows, the variety and quality of the exhibits were such as to surprise many who had 'not, realised the potentialities of gardening in the pumice soil. A class which drew speciai attention was that for delphiniums, in which the exhibits of the recently introduced large flowered types, were very fine.
