GIRL GUIDES AND ROYAL VIST

Mrs H. Peart, District Commissioner, advises that general arrangements for Girl Guides and Brownies visiting Rotorua on the occasion of the Royal Visit have been finalised, though some details have yet to be attended to. Parking space for buses has been arranged. Guides and Brownies from Taupo will travel by special bus. One street, namely that leading to the entrance of the Roorua Disrict High School, will be lined on one side by Girl Guides and Brownies and on the other by Boy Scouts, which should provide a colourful display. This is the only street along which the Queen will pass both ways which will give the Guides and Brownies the opportunity to see Her Majesty twice.
