58 MORE CONSUMERS The Town Board's Electrical Inspector, M. J. M. Sherwood, reported to the Town Board's meeting on Wednesday 21st that fifty-eight new consumers had been connected during the month, bringing the total number of consumers now connected up to four hundred and twenty-seven.

A section of high tension line had been erected in Ngamotu Street, and low tension lines hac. been completed in Ngamotu, Rokino and Taharepa Streets. Line had also been run in Huka, Opepe and Rickit Streets. Service lines had been run in Pihanga, Rotokawa and Matipo Streets. On Friday 16th a minor mechanical fault at the powerhouse caused a shut down at 5.25 a.m. and power was restored at 6.37 a.m.

Every effort was being made to expedite the installation of the main generator at the powerhouse, and good progress had been main;ained. The turbine and alterna:or were now lined up and grouted in.
