R.S.A. PENSION PROTEST
The Secretary of thej Taupo Returned Services' Association has sent to Mr P. Kearins, M.P., a telegram protesting against the Government"s refusal to increase the basic war pension. This follows on advice by the Prime Minister, Mr Hoiland, to the N.Z.R.S.A., that the Government will not meet the association's request for an increase of 10/- per week in the 100% basic war disability pension, and on Sir Howard Kippenberger's statement j that he was gravely concerned and distressed by the Government's refusal.
