The Crow's Nest Geyser, near the Spa Hotel, Taupo, became active on Sunday, October 3rd, after being dormant for some years (see report in this issue). It was known to the Maoris as Te Wakaturou. A description of it by Lt. Herbert Meade, R.N., who visited Taupo in 1865 indicates that its activity then was similar to that of later years.
