TOWN DISTRICT OF TAUPO NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR HOUSING LOAN Notice is hereby given that the Taupo Town Board proposes at its meeting to be held on the 16th day September 1953 to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £5000 for the purpose of erecting two Workers' Dwellings. The security for such a loan shall be a special rate of one farthing in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Town District of Taupo. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Taupo Town Board not later than the day preceding the said meeting. S. LAND-TAX PAYABLE In accordance with Order in Council dated 21 May 1953, I hereby notify that land-tax leviable under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, is payable at any office of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, or at any moneyorder post-ofhce in one sum on Monday, September 21, 1953. The liability is not suspended by any objection, and the tax must be paid on or before Wednesday, 21 October 1953, to avoid the additional 5 per cent; any overpaymerft will be refunded.
