CRUSADERS ANNIVERSARY
MARCHING GIRLS' BALL The Crusaders Marching Girls Club held their anniversary ball on Saturday evening, August 1, at Rickit's Hall. Taupo, which was gaily decorated with greenery and balloons and the Club's colours featured in black and white streamers. Mr C. B. Uent officiated as master ot ceremonies and sang two solos. Music was provided by Mrs Mika's orchestra. Following an enjoyable sit-down supper, Mr J. E. Story, president of the Taupo Marching Girls' Association, cut the Club's birthday cake, eongratulating the Club on its suecessful year, and thanking the public for their support of club functions. Habib, black taffeta and pink nylon lace; Mrs T. Couper, floral bodice with mulberry taffeta skirt; Mrs D. Davis, pastel green cloque; Miss D. Balmforth, pale grey shantung; Miss S. George, white Nottingham lace over taffeta, balierina length; Miss M. Fulljames, gold waffle pique; Miss B. Harnett, pale pink nylon tulle over cobalt blue taffeta, bailerina length; Miss Gill (Waipukurau), satin striped mauve faille; Mrs A. Smith, saxe blue blouse, blue and grey checked foulard skirt; Mrs F. Galbraith, aquamarine douppion skirt, white nylon blouse; Mrs J, Galbraith, striped shantung; Mrs G. Bonnor, wistaria faille and lace; Miss P. Williams, blue brocade; Mrs A. Kennedy, old goid lace; Miss Lois Denize, Kelly green and silver brocade; Miss L. Manning, black moire faille; Miss M. Williams, lilac and blue embossed talfeta; Miss R. Williams, orchid pink shantung; Miss T. Green, ice blue everglaze; Mrs Darlington, scarlet corded faille; Miss Gillian Woodward, floral ivory organdie over blue talfeta; Miss Harnett, turquoise moire taffeta; Mrs K.
