MR E. R. HOY APPOINTED Mr E. R. Hoy has been appointed as home missioner to take charge of St. PauPs Presbyterian Church, Taupo, and will be introduced to the charge on Sunday, August 23, by the Moderator, the Rev. A. Salmond, M.A., of Rotorua, at the morning service. x , Mr Hoy's appointment markjs a new stage in the history >lfc8^thO Presbyterian Church in Taupo, and follows a recent decision to separate the work of the Presbyterian Maori Mission, which pioneered the Presbyterian Church?s work in the Taupo country, from the St. Paul's parisho The Rev. A. J. E. Orange, pursuant to this decision, recently took charge of the Maori Mission here, with headquarters at the Presbyterian Manse, Kaimanawa Street. Mr Hoy, who is married, with two children, is at present stationed at Raumati South, near Wellington. Mr and Mrs Hoy will reside temporarily in the mission cottage next to the Manse, until the new St. PauPs manse is built in Wheretia Street.
