FORTY-SIX CONSUMERS CONNECTED The Town Board's electrical inspector, Mr J. M. Sherwood, r.eported to the July meeting of the Board that duiring the month low tension lines had been erected in Motutaiki, Scannell and Laughton Streets, Taupo Yiew Road, and in Waiariki Road (the Spa Road) to Tonga Street. Poles had been erected in Nukuhau, Oruanui and Rununga Streets. Service lines had b,een run in Henry Hill, Rahui, Waihora, Kurupae and Taupo View Roads, and in Rokino, Motutaiki, Scannell and Laughton Streets. On Sunday, July 5th., the severe thunderstorm had blown several high tension fuses and tripped the circuit breaker at the Power House, but no permanent damage resulted. Forty-six new connections had been made during tne month, bringing the total number of consumers connect.ed up to 269. Mr Sherwood reported that the July meter-readin was in prrogress.
