A well-known Western Bay waterfall, Lake Taupo. Marking the junction of the Otupoto Stream, with the Lake, it is often referred to as the Waihora Falls from its proximity to Waihora, but its correct name is Hingarae. Situated just north of the prominent headland of Poporo, it is a prominent feature of the picturesque line of precipitous cliffs forming the seven or eight miles of coastline between Waihaha and Waihora.
