PROPOSED CHANGE OF STATUS OF THE TOWN DISTRICT OF TAUPO The Local Government Commission on 22nd June 1953 promulgated a Report and Provisional Scheme providing for the constitution of the Town District of Taupo as a Borough. Copies of the Report and Provisional Scheme are lodged and may be inspected at the offices of the Taupo Town Board, Taupo; and the Local Government Commission, Wellington. In pursuance of Section 17 of the Local Government Commission Act 1946, written objections to the Provisional Scheme addressed to the Secretary of the Commission and stating the grounds thereof must be lodged not later than 27th July 1953.
