New Books Arrive The Secretary of the Taupo Public Library Committee, Mr N. A. Duthie, advises that about one hundred new books have arfived, and that the Committee is busy cataloguing* them and preparing them for the shelves. This entails making eovers of a more or less permanent nature, and should be completed this week. Discarded books are being made up in bundles of three, most of which contain a mystexy story, and are being offerecl at the Town Board Office at 1/6 a bundle. The new books include autobiographical volumes as follows: Farm Wife, by Marion Robert; My First Eighty Years, Helen Wilson; A DoctoFs London, HarVey Graliam; Autobiographv, Sir Norman Angell. Amongst travel books is Arctic Solitudes, by Admiral Lord Mountevans, author of South with Scott. Novels, mystery and Western stories include books by Nevil Shute, Ruth Chatterton, Chailes Morgan, Elizabeth T^Ior, Van der Post, Hammond Innes, Monica Dickens, Manning Coles, Wodehouse, Robert Standish, and many others, making up a selection to suit all tastes.
