LABOUR PARTY BRANCH
MONTHLY MEETING HELD The Taupo Branch of the N.Z# Labour Party held its monthly meeting in Ricki'Fs Hall on Wednesday, June 17th. when there was a good attendance. A number of new members weire enrolled. Mr J. M. Stanley, Chairman, stated that the present memhership entitled the Branch to two delegates at L.R.C. meetings. Mr J. Burge, Secretary, reported that membeirship nominations were still flowing in and that interest. in the Branch continued to grow. A Social Committee was formed from amongst lady members present, with Mrs K. Reid as Chairman. Mr Foddy, a member of the Hastings Branch who is now resident in Taupo, was pres,ent and was invited to take part in Branch meetings. A special meeting of the Branch, advertised m this issue, is to be addressed by Mr Kearins, M.P.
