BOWLERS ELECT OFFICERS

FRESENTATION OF TROPHIES There was an attendance of nearly fcirty members at the Annual General Meeting of the Taupo Bowling Club, held on June 14th., in the Club Pavilion, Taupo, at 2.30 p.m. In his report the President, Mr B. M. Armgtrong, gave an account of the Club's activities during the past season, which had be>en a siuccessful one. Membeirship of the Club had reached 61. A pleasing and popular event of the afternoon was the election of Mr A. Coley as a life member of the Club, in necognition of his great help to the Club in connection with the construetion of the Pavilion. Life members elected last yeao* are Messrs J, Pennycook, J. H. Marlow and J. Wells. Twelve new members were elected. Officers & Committees. - The election of officers and cornmittees resulted as follows: — President, Mr B. M. Airmstrong (second term) ; Immediate Past President (ex officio), Col. J. D. Swan; VicePresidents, Messrs E. T. Smith, E. H. Rowlands (re-elected) ; Treasu rer, ]MEr C. McLean, (re-elected) ; Secretary, Mr A. R. McEean (fcsrmerly ActingSecretary) ; Delegates to WaikatoThames Valley Bowling Centre, Messrs A. C. H. Lees and B. J, Baumberg; Green Superintendent, Mr J. Rennyeook; Grounds Committee, Messrs J, H. Marlow and F. Mahanga; Committee, Messrs S. A. Howie (re-elect-ed), J. Attwood, R. McMillan, B. M. Harnett, W. G. Mcoris, W. D. Mills; Coaches, Messrs C. McLean and R. McMillan; Match Committee, Messrs Bo M. Armstrong, E. H. Rowlands, R. McMillan. Winners of Trophies. Tirop'hies won during the past season were presented as follows: — Milne Rose Bowl, iSenior Slngles Championship, Mr R. McMillan; Lerew Cup, Veterans 65 years and oveir, Mr J. W. Peart; Jim Swan Cup, Pairs Championship, Messrs E. H. Rowlands and W. D. Mills; George Anchor Cup, Junior Singles Championship, Mr E. H. Rowlands.
