POWDERED MILK NOT SOLD
ALLEGATION DISPRGVED The Healthi Inspector, Rotorua, in a report presented to the Taupo Town Board at its meeting last w.eek, stated that he had received a complaint alleging that milk supplied by the Taupo Milk Supply on May 24th., 19)53 had not been fresh milk, in that ti was alleged to have ueen made from powdered milk. A sample had been handed io the Inspector or May 26.. It was submitted to the Gcvernmcnt Analyst, who reported that the milk. was pasteurised milk, and that it complied with the standards laid down in the Food and Drug Regulations. On the morning of May 27th. th5 Inspector had taken samples from every can of milk in the possession of th6 Taupo Milk Supply. Fourtoen samples were taken and fctrwarded to the Government Analyst. The results showed that all samples complied with the standards laid down in the Food and Drug Regulations,
