A situation for the suggested enteri&inments, whieh Mr Marsden eonsiders is perhaps unequalled any where in Kew Zealand, would be the area adjacent to the Wharf, with its sloping portion fiacing the flat area essential for a ce o nrm oda ti ng the assemb!y« Surrounded as it is by tali trees and free of noise and traffie, as it •would be after dark, and adjacent to the quietly running adver, its cairn and serene atmosphere, says Mr Marsden, would be ideal. Revenue would come from collections and the kale of programmes. "A geperal entertainment eould be held late on Kew Yeai/s Eve, in whieh eommunity aingingy dancing, orehestra artists, fiumour and general fun would be the f*rder/p conelud,es Mr Marsden. "I lione to meet a committee in the near futurte to outline the proposals.
