WESTMINSTER ABBEY APPEAL

TAUPO SUBSCRIPTION LIST In response to a request from the Acting Prime Minister, the Hon. K, J. Holyoake, addressed to the Chairman of the Taupo Town Board, Mr Story, a subscription list has been opened at the Town Board Office, in support of the W estminster Abbey Appeal recently launched by S'r Winston Churchill. In his tflegiam Mr Holyoake states that both the Prime Minister, Mr H oi land, and the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Nash, have given their support to the Appeal, and that he feels that New Zealanders of all denominations | will wish to assist in the preserva- ' tion of this national shrine of the British people.
