ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The adjourned general meeting oi the Taupo Returned Services Association was held on Friday, April 18, at 8 p.m. in the joinery factorW of Messrs. Arnold's Cahinet Supplies Ltd., Eletcher Street, Taupo. Those present were Col. J, D. Swan, O.B.E., (in the chair), G. Patchett, W. G. Morris, P. Silva, P. W. Arnold, B. M . Armstrong, H. Keen, H. Ward, W L. Fulljames, G. E, Baker, E. Wright, J, Sherwood, W. L. Haines, S, Williams, G. R. Watson. Pursuant to a notice of motion from the extraordinary general meeting held on August 22, 1952, the qhair* man moved that all members permanently disabled and those living outside a three mile radius from the Taupo post office be entitled to make postal votes. Mr Patchett seconded the motion which was carried. In his report on the past year the chairman mentioned that m the recent campaign for funds for the Taupo Bistrict Yvar Memorial the Taupo R.S.A. had contri^ted £115. He also mentioned that the War Memorial committee had made it elear that the memorial was one for the whole of the Taupo country. The meeting unanimously confirmed this view (as reported in full on page I of last issue of the Times).
Election of Executive The audited accounts. and balance sheet for the past year showed that the funds in hand were only -s-lightly less than last year, although- the £115 mentioned had been paid to the Memorial Fund, while a total of over £120 had been paid in grants td/exservicemen and dependents. The election of officers and committee resulted as follows: President Col. J. D. Swan; vice-president, . Mr C. E. Baker; secretary, Mr J. Gre§toiex; treasurer, Mr G, Patchett; assistant secretary, Mr W. G. .Morris ; honoiary auditor, Mr J. Woodwardl Committee members, Messrs. E\ Wright, W. L. Haines, W. L. 'Fulljames, P. W. Arnold, B.
