TAUPO CLUB MATCHES
The Progressive Fours competition for the Stephenson Golden Cockerels has been concluded after three months of interesting and enjoyable play, the winners being as follows: Peonycook, skip, with nlne wins; No. 3 (Measurer), Ted Taylor, six wins; No. 2 (acqrer), M. Lauri, seven wins; No. 1 (Lead), Jack Wells, seven wins. The final of the Senior Championiship was played between R. McMillan and W. Clayworth, McMillan winning 20-19. On the twentieth head the score was McMillan 20, Clayworth 17. On the twentyfirst head Clayworth drew two shots making the final 20-19. During the Easter week-end an enjoyable gala day was held in conjunction with the Ladies Club, play resulting in a popular victory for A. Baldwm (skip), L. Fulljames, Guy Crickett and Mrs H. Lough. The section play resulted as follows: — A. Baldwin, 4 wins; Clayworth, 3i wins; Pennycook, 3 wins; B. Armstrong, 21 wins; E. H. Rowlands, 21 wins; T. Baldwin, 21 wins; C. McLean, 2 wins; Walters, 2 wins; Ted Taylor, 2 wins; R. McMillan, 1 win.
