Electricity at Reporoa.
About 140 houses in the Reporoa district now have electricity and there are approximately 18 to be connected at Broadlands, says the Rotorua Post, before reticulation work in the area ceases. Linesmen of the Rotorua Electric Supply Authority have been working in the Reporoa district since early last year. The farmers in the two district s mentioned have got to make the electricity work for them, for costs of rural reticulation are high, and each consumer has guaranteed £46 for each year's supply for ten years. > The Supply Authority will be subsidised on this amount by the Government through the rurai Reticulation Board in order to show an economic return for the Authority's initial outlay.
