RECENT ANGLING RESULTS
THREE BIG FISH Mrs S. Dickie (Wairoa, H. B.) trolling a fly from the launch. Victory in the bay immediately east oi Karangahape Cliffs, recentiy took a twelve and three quarter pound maia rainbow trout. The fish was twentynine inches in length with a girth of seventeen and a half inches. . Two nice conditioned eight & a half pound fish were taiten at the same spot. Mr P. Oldham (Taihape) fly-fishihg at Jerusalem Bay 0n March . 1st. took a twelve pound brown Trout, twentyseven inches in length with girth eighteen inches. Another fine brown trout of 12 pounds was taken on the fly ori vVednesday evening last by Mr D. Canning (Porongahau, H. B.), fishing the pool in the Waihaha Stream just above ihe mouth, While fishing has. been pretty haro over the past week in most areas of the Western Bays, some good, fishing was had last week at the Waihaha mouth, and also at the Waihora. Some nice fish have also been taken on the fly by evening fishermen in the vicinity of the Waikato Outlet, Taupo. Oue angler took three good fish there on© evening, two scaling five and a half pounds each and the third seven pounds, while a compan- * ion took another of five and a half pounds.
