TAUPO SCHOOL COMMITTEE
NOTES OF MONTHLY MEETING Mr B. J. Baumberg, Chairman, presided over the nionthly meeting of the Taupo School Committee held on February 3rd. The Headmaster's report showed that the number oii the roll of the Primary Department was 319, with 48 ,on the Secondary Department roll. On the presen1: roll number s school accomm o dation is short by one class room. Tlie matfcer of land and buildings was discused, and a tender received for clearing the four acre block between Titiraupenga and Kaimanawa Street? wa ssubmitted to the Education Board. It is hoped to have the block grassed in preparationi for new buildings which will be needed this year. Messrs Coley and Son have under construction on the Kaimaiawa (Street end of the block, a residemee for the Senior Secondary Assistant. Discussion of representation on the Home and School Association resulted in Miss K. O. Lewis being ap~ pointed as School Committee representative thereon. The matter of a , new room for the School Milk service and the provision of an incineratof was gone into and is to be taken 'up with the Education Board.
