JEEP AS MOBILE HEALTH CLINIC
I - The Technieal Co-operation Ad- | ministration, which supervises Uniti ed States Point Four technical assisj tance to other countries has devised a mobile health vehicle which it calls the "Clinicar." This is a jeep with a body specially designed for use by doctors and public health officers in | bringing clinical treatment to romote areas. 1 The ^Clinicar" retains all the rep ged qualities of the jeep. It can almost anywhere. Desert roads, or no roads, do not daunt it .The vehicle will help speed vaccinations, imrnmizations, and other forms of preventive medicine in regions far removed from hospitals. The machine, in fact, is virtuallif a sinai 1 hospital on wheels, containing a sink, a filter to purify water and^ a sterilizer. There also is a clinical microscope, a collapsible surgical table and a stretcher. All tti,e equipment may be removed and set up in a building if there is. need ©f es'tablishing a small stationarv elixrk.
