SCULLING ON THE LAKE
ROWING CLUB FORMED At a well attended public meeting held at the Waipahihi Hall for the | formation of a Rowing Club the following officers were elected: — President, Mr G. B'raser. Viee-presidents, Messrs R. SiAiclair and D. Rameka. Coach and Club-Captain, Mr R. Lang. Deputy Captain, Mr R. Beale. iSecretary, Mr J. Donnelly. Treasurer, Mr P. Westerman. Property Trustees, Messrs J. Rameka and N. Whiu.
Committee: Messrs L. Rickard, E. Blake, J. Rameka, N. Whiu, Garry Whiu. Letters have come to hand from the Stan Boating Club, Wellington, the Hamilton Rowing Club, and the Auckland Rowing Association, showing great interest in the new venture and offering every assistance. The previous connections of Messrs Lang and Rickard with rowing clubs in other centres will also prove a great help. Every endeavour is being made to have the boat donated by the Stan Boating Club brought to Taupo as soon as possible. The club will then be able to get into full swing.
