BENEFIT LAUNCH EXCURSION
The benefit excursion organised by the Taupo Commercial Launch bwners Association, as a means of Bxpressing practical sympathy with Mr P. W. Arnold in the heavy loss ^ccasioned by the destruction of his loinery Factory by fire, took place on Sunday, October 26th. in perfect weather. There was a gratifying reponse, and four launches took part. aamely Mr Dent's Dawn, Mr Fletcher's Waikare, Mr J. W. McLeod's Moanaroa and Messrs J. T. | Taylor and Sons Victory, the destin- | ation being Ka^vakaura Bay. In addition to those who actually went on the excursion a number contributed donations, with the result that the sum of £57 was received. The Launch Owners Association wishes to express thanks to those who helped in their eifort.
