MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD Y1S YY Members of the Main Highways Board visited Taupo on Saturday last and discussed with the Town Board the improvement needed for the Spa Road and the Main Highway on the Lake front. There were inspected and certain decisions reached. In a statement to the Taupo Times reprefeentative later, the Chairman of the Town Board, JVlr Story said that the realignment of the lake front highway would be proceeded with this season. In regard to the Spa Road, Mr Story said that there appeared to be no prospect of sealing this i mueh-used thoroughfare till next season, as no funds were available for this work, although the Taupo Town Board would be prepared to share in a proportion of the cost.
