FISHING SEASON PREPARATION LOOK TO YOUR TACKLE With the 'Season' less than four weeks away, fishermen are reminded that it will pay them to check over their tackle. Fishing tackle is expensive and at time difficult to replace. A repair now' may save pounds later. Get out your favourite rod and check for the following points:— Loose Ferrules. Worn or cracked line guides. Brokeii or frayed bindings. Damaged or separated cane. Chipped, cracked or brittle varnish. Dismantle ancl clean your reel. Sand is a poor lubricant, light machine oil does the job better. Does the check work as it should ? A carefuJ examination of your line and backing is well worth while; a perished line will not hold that 10-pounder. j Did the moths get af your flies ? Remember while checking your tackle that lan T. Logan, opposite the Post Office can carry out any necessary repairs — -promptly and expertly and has on liand large and comprehensive stocks of fishing tackle for 1 the coming season. The maii who 1 does the repairs knows quality. | (Ad'vT.) | G. F. COLBECK * I L1CENSED LAND AGENT AND VALUER A.R.E.I.N.Z., A.N.Z.I.V. Agent- — SOUTH BRITI5H INSURANCE CO. LTD. For Al!
