We have received from ihe Member for the district (Mr P. Kearins), a copy of a letter received by him from the Minister of Works (Hon. W. S. Goosman), which states: "I refer to your personal representations in support of a letter addressed to you by the Town Clerk, Taupo Town Board, seeking an assurance that no major buildings will be erected on the site at present used as a Public Work depot in Taupo, and that as it is stated that other suitable land is available the depot should be removed from the present site. • • "I also note the representations made by the Town Board that the Lake Front main highway should be reformed.
