Good progress was made in the organisation of the .society at a general meeting held at Rickits Hall | on Thursday last when several impontant decisions were made. The constitution of the society is to be expanded by the committee in ; conjunction with Mr George Swan, j a regular visitor, who has had many j years of experience in Wellington J repertory circles. He was for over 20 years secretary of the repertory Iplayers and a founder of the New ! Zealand Drama Council. He was also able to give a timely warning to the
members regarding one or two of the pitfalls to be avoided by a young society. Several important appointments were made, the first of which was the election of Mr J. D. Swan as Patron of the society. Others ii\cluded stageyrnanager of "Blithe Spiri V Mr C. R. Leslie; make-up, Messrs M. A. McKean and J. Bimie; wardrobe mistress, Mrs Armstrong; assi-stant, Mrs R. Sharp; door manager Mrs T. G;t Price; assistant, Mrs G. A. Acres; publicity, Mr G. A. Acres.
